HOLISTIC TREATMENTS Holistic treatments consider the client as a whole, both mind and body, and seeks to work on both to promote wellness and a balanced lifestyle.
CHAKRA BALANCING WITH HOT STONE MASSAGE ”Chakra” is a Sanskrit word which means ”Wheel of light” and represents subtle energy centers within the body's aura. It is believed that there are seven chakras, each affecting parts of body, mind and spirit, according to their location.
The purpose of a Chakra Balancing treatment is to find if any of the seven chakras are blocked, which is believed to make the sufferer feel somehow out of balance or otherwise unwell. During a treatment, Reiki is used to find any blocked chakras and then unblock them.
The word “Reiki“ combines the Japanese and Chinese word-characters of “Rei”(Spiritual or supernatural) and “Ki”(Vital energy). One of the basic ideas held by those who practice Reiki is that this vital energy can be channeled to support the body's natural ability to heal itself. Reiki is a therapy often described as a palm healing or hands-on-body healing. The practitioner places their hands lightly on or over the client's body to channel energy into the patient by means of touch. This is believed to encourage the natural healing process of the client's body and restore physical and emotional well-being.
REFLEXOLOGY Reflexology is a ancient traditional technique which uses hand, thumb and finger techniques to stimulate certain areas of the feet, which are believed to correspond to different parts of body. The massage is therefore expected to promote health and well-being, as well as being a deeply relaxing treatment in its own right.
HOPI EAR CANDLE(THERMO-AURICAL THERAPY) The Hopi Ear Candle technique is based on an ancient technique for cleansing, purifying and healing on a spiritual level. Today it is known for its more physical benefits in treating ear and sinus problems. It can be beneficial for tinnitus, excessive ear wax, ear pain, cold, flu symptoms and improving pressure(equilibrium) in the inner ear. The technique is safe, non-invasive and pleasant. The candles are made from natural ingredients, usually beeswax and natural herbs. The treatment has a relaxing, calming effect on the whole body. During the treatment, the client also receives pressure point massage around the area of the sinuses, along with a scalp massage.
BODY&MIND BALANCING MASSAGE This massage is mixture of Swedish and Reiki techniques and encourages deep relaxation and the relief of tension. It also helps to improve circulation and to decrease anxiety and stress. The Reiki part of the treatment promotes healing and gives the client the feeling that a wonderful flowing radiance is flowing through them.
BALINESE (INDONISIAN) MASSAGE
This technique works on meridian lines and is not a muscular skeletal massage. It starts with dry movements and then oil is used. The whole body is treated from toes to ears, and including the face With the stomach, deep colonic work is applied, including moves to tighten the uterus. A Reiki treatment is given at the end. The therapist works on internal organs and systems to help achieve balance and harmony. This is a deeper tissue technique which encourages the drainage of lymphatic fluid and the strengthening of the immune system. After a Balinese Massage treatment the client will feel a change in their “Life force energy”.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE This is a deeply relaxing massage performed on the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, head and face. The client is sitting during the massage which is performed with oil. This massage is excellent for relieving stress, neck, shoulder and upper back aches and pains, tension headaches and migraines.
TRADITIONAL THAI MASSAGE During a Thai massage, the therapist uses their body to move the client into a variety of positions. This type of massage includes the compression of muscles, acupressure and the mobilisation of joints. The client remains clothed and the treatment takes place on a special mat on the floor. This traditional technique differs from other massage techniques in being like a form of 'assisted yoga'.
HOLISTIC FACIAL Holistic facials contain the same principle as a regular facial in there is a routine of cleansing, toning, exfoliating and using a facial mask. A holistic treatment includes a blissful massage that will leave your facial muscles feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, and your skin looking and feeling fabulous. The massage begins on your neck and shoulders, releasing all the tension, stress and muscle fatigue in your upper body. During the treatment I will also provide a wonderful, slow, relaxing massage, which is followed with the pressing of the shiatsu points on the muscles of the face and then finishes off with a stress relieving head massage. This treatment takes a holistic approach, concentrating on the whole person and not just the skin type the person has.
